Workshop details for 2011 (in alphabetical order)......

Basic Earrings :

Learn how to make that essential loop to finish your beaded earrings. This is a sample of what you can learn in one of the The Bead Shop (Nottingham) Limited's workshops. Look here for their whole timetable. You'll get to make earrings using czech glass beads, headpins, eyepins and either fishhooks or clips, depending on whether you have pierced ears or not!

Crochet :

Eleanor from Knit Nottingham is going to teach a lucky few (max 6 on this workshop) how to crochet a flower

Dichroic Fused Glass Demo :

Hana will demonstrate how to make pendants by fusing dichroic glass in a microwave kiln.

Felt Bead Bag Charm :

You will create fun colourful beads to turn into unique jewellery. Learn how to make felt beads using the dry felting technique, once you have made your beads you will learn how to embellish them with sparkly beads and sequins, with many colours to choose there’ll be something to suit everyone.

Due to the tools used when dry felting this workshop uses sharp tools so we cannot teach under 16's due to licensing laws.

Knitting :

Eleanor from Knit Nottingham will guide you through the basics of how to knit, so if you always wanted to know and couldn't find anyone to teach you then here's your chance!

Lost & Found Charm Bracelet :

Using a mix of new & reclaimed items you will create a unique bracelet (a good use for any unloved or broken jewellery). You will learn the basics needed to make your bracelet – how to make loops and connect items together, so it is ideal for beginners. Feel free to bring any components you would like to use, however materials will be provided.

Snowflakes :

Christine from Spellbound will introduce you to making your own snowflake using one of their kits. Using fine wire, seed beads, bugles and glass beads you will make a decorative snowflake to add to your christmas decorations!

Spiral Rope Beadweaving :

Learn to weave a spiral rope chain, a simple but very effective stitch that looks fabulous. Can be used as a bracelet or necklace either on it's own or with a focal bead or pendant. This workshop will be run by Patty from beadbybead, take a look at their other workshops.

Wire Bracelet : (Make a bracelet from wire and czech glass beads)

Learn how to create a fabulous and funky wired bracelet using jewellery wire and Czech fire-polished beads. This workshop will be run by Louisa at Beadelicious, take a look at their other workshops.

Wire Bead Bracelet : (Make wire beads and combine the beads into a bracelet using the same jewellery wire)

Make unique beads from wire and then incorporate the wire beads into a bracelet, creating a beautiful piece of jewellery from scratch. It's quite quick and easy. This workshop will be run by Louisa at Beadelicious, take a look at their other workshops.

Wigjig : There are three of these workshops by popular request

Use a wigjig olympus lite to create wire components and make stunning earrings with colourful glass beads. After a little instruction, a little playing you should be the proud owner of a new pair of earrings after about 20 minutes, giving others an opportunity to have a go!

Traders attending the Show.

The following traders (in no particular order) are booked and will be appearing at the show this year. If you are coming to the show and see something that a trader stocks why not contact them and see if they can bring it to the show!
